My Mother always told me that she and Jim were first cousins - their dads were brothers. My Grandfather was Jesse E. Reeves from Ava MO, and my mother was Louella, his youngest daughter, with sisters Beulah and Dorothy.

Great-Grandfather Tim Reeves is buried on top of Dogwood Hill, about halfway between Ava and Branson on Highway 14.

Cousin Lanora Waggoner, Dorothy's older daughter, was in touch with Mary until she passed away, and Lanora passed on in 2005. She was known as the 'Yodelin' Grandma' in the Old Time Fiddlers here in Oregon, and I am a member - backup guitar and vocals.
