All Things Recoil: Had a Bubble Bath yesterday!

I was just asked "After I cleaned the carpeting for my customer, why does the carpeting feel sticky?"

This was an easy one: Left over soap left in the carpet! I would suggest that you thoroughly rinse/flush the carpeting (maybe add a defoamer to your recovery tank) in an effort to extract the old soap!

BTW, a side note: When we used to formulate our own cleaning agents, we had a special (food based) defoamer which could also be used very efficiently on the carpet, killing/breaking down the excessive foam which promoted greater extraction with least resistance.
