All Things Recoil: Those were the days

Looking back at this industry, it is really something how far we have come. I clearly remember when the HWE (back then, commonly referred to as: "Steam Cleaning")was in its infancy. The very late 60's; the very early 70's.

At the beginning, A few portable electric extractors advertising 35 psi....50 psi ! 8 - to - 10 gallons capacities, and cleaning abilities of 10' - to - 15' from the machine.

Then, things eventually took off as the HWE industry became more and more popular. There were trade shows (large/small) all the time almost in every State. State Carpet Cleaners Organizations, local small meetings and learning seminars. A lot more face-to-face and hands on demonstrations.

Looking back, it was fun meeting many of the operators and being able to identify them by name; shaking hands and even going out to dinner(s) with them after the shows were closed in the evenings.
I must admit, Miss those days.
