Not the the trigger is released far too late, resulting in 'puddling' at the end of each stroke.
Resultantly there will be many places where water has penetrated too deeply. If the carpet were to be uplifted the underside would show damp patches even after the surface was touch-dry.
This can result in a number of problems, including browning patches on woven wool carpets.
