Several minutes later, a young (millennium)couple took the table next to us, slumped in their chairs and immediately started to--------text------each other their preferences on what to order! Unbelievable. I guess the only good thing was that we didn't have to listen to any laughing during our enjoyment, rather just the clicking of their "smart phones".
I recently saw a feature on the television about how difficult it is nowadays for these millenniums to date; ask someone out and communicate verbally!
Don't get me wrong, I have, as many, moved from horses to automobiles and can appreciate a certain amount of technology, but, isn't there a point where we have to continue to cultivate our human resources like public speaking and writing (with out auto correction, etc....) ?
Hummm. Maybe this is what separates us from the martians!
