That was a interesting read.
I have always wondered "why" GM hasn't solved the peeling of the hood paint on their vans! I see that all the time.
Few things/products today are of the quality of many products of the 40's/50's. The advent of the production lines of throwing components in and making the product as cheaply as they can will continue, unfortunately. This can IMHO, be blamed on the consumer (as in our industry as well) because they are many times looking for price. They have been "re-educated" by the Big Volume Companies that price equals value. Not so, but it would make a good dream. Quality normally costs money and quality means a Greater Value than purchasing on Price. Just like a fine bottle of wine, or a cheap bottle of Boonesfarm.
Now, how would anyone like to buy a 2012 Ford Focus piece of junk at a cheap price?!!!!
