No I think it's more of the product has been over sold for so many years it just doesn't have the effect when cleaning carpet,
That and I heard a thousand times with other cleaners that all they do is spray water on it after cleaning, Wonder why it didn't work...lol
Its like there waiting for the up sell to begin with a new customer, People are tired of it I think, They are aware of protector when they buy that new sofa and pay an extra 200 for the protector, I've heard that many times from customers.
But I really quit carrying it on the truck, When the call is made to us, If they request it I'll go buy some but really don't push it I haven't for years now.
Its also sold as it will keep the carpet cleaner longer with is also a myth, It wasn't designed for that, But when you really think about the average house they really don't have stains very rarely, They will have traffic patterns but not stains.
I would rather they take the money and put it towards cleaning the carpet more often than the protector or use the extra money to clean a sofa or something else to boost the ticket price.
Gary said basically the same as I did, I wonder if the Northern market still accepts the protector, Kinda Curious now, Maybe Jim Morrow will chime in since he is close to you
