Re: Oriental Express
If I was starting out today I'd go real rugs. With the deletion of carpet more and more people are throwing down rugs on them hard floors. But then with what I've seen as to date:those thick shag poly rugs and what people spend a good penny on - oriental rugs they assume are real because they are made in Turkey or Egypt but are polypropylene????? Then, when I run into real rugs I convince them to take it to a rug shop. They call the rug shop I refer them to and whine about the price. We just quit doing rugs period. No matter how many times I explain that thier imitation rug will knurled as it dries and may take time to relax, I still get the calls of concern. Then there are the rugs on laminate/wood laminate floating floors that are furnished. Furniture has to come off, rug rolled out plastic laid down out, roll rug back out & clean. Not so bad right? Well, then the entire paths (s) to rugs have to have floor protection laid out. I think I can squeeze 5 more years out for wall to wall carpet before we become victims of antiquity. If it wernt from crappy carpet installers I'd probably have gotten out years ago since large carpet jobs are getting rare. Thank God for dirty nasty people that let thier animals use the carpet for a toilet.
