My view is that pressure of all sorts is what we encounter in our day to day lives and that stress is the consequence of this pressure.
When I was an employer, I thought that I had a perfect team around me. When things went pear shaped and I was on my own again, life was so easy not having to think for others, plan for others, cashflow, vehicle servicing etc. etc. I vowed to never employ again. Since this time, my life has been as free from pressure and stress as it is possible to be. And it is all by design.
If commuter traffic is a problem for you, plan your day differently, maybe with an earlier start. Make sure you have choices should equipment break down or for when it's away being serviced. Write "Me/family" into your diary, then work fits around it. As others have said, if you sense a particular job or customer as being problematic learn the hardest word to say in the English language. NO.
Think about what you need to convert yourself from running a business into someone with a lifestyle business. Then do it. You're the only person who can.
