It stinks I know we go threw it all the time over here.
Just make sure to hand them a flyer on the way out the door, A lot of folks make mighty bad decisions but there broke and can't make the jump into something else right now.
I call it buying a business they will come back.
I see a lot of this in the supply house I deal with, take a 20 year old unit and try to re furbish it like new, Never works out and you loose more in business over lost work trying to save a old unit.
What you loose in work would have easily made the payment and kept those customers, Dont forget when you tick off the homeowner they took the day off or moved everything out of your way and you cancel on them at the last minute, There ticked off at you from that point on.
Of course if people charged enough for their work they wouldn't be in that bad of spot to begin with, as you say the beat goes on
