On October 16, 2025, I posted a string on this forum about a great song I had recently discovered "A Little Good News", by Anne Murray.
Roy responded with personal info about Anne Murray, and Halifax Nova Scotia.
That started me on posting a string of identical life experiences that matched my life exactly, in the 9 episodes in the Jesse Stone series. The author lived in the next town to me and my police experiences were in the media. See thread.
Yesterday, my son, and grandson and I went to a "Police Patch" show. Spent too much money.
One vendor, "New England Art & Framing", had a tremendous display who said he had contact with Tom Selleck, and the actors in the "Blue Bloods" TV series.
He claimed that Selleck, who always said the Jesse Stone series was his best work, and wanted to do a 10th episode had actually done one and it was in the can so to speak.
Roy, do you know if a 10th episode was actually shot in Halifax and surrounding town?
I had never heard this, or even a hint Selleck did it.

Roy,
The most I can find right now is that the 10th episode "The Last Watch" is "in development".
The guy at the show said it was a done deal. If it is done, then it was probably shot in Halifax.
Bob.. Thanks for the question. I do love doing home work not like when I was in school a century ago.
I well remember the excitement during the summer months here in Halifax when Ton Sellick was here on set. Ten years from 2005-2015. In particular I recall a local Radio station announcing daily on air "Where is Tom today". The host would mention locations and restaurants Tom would be seen at.. on every encounter Tom was found to be very friendly and approachable. Word on the street was that he enjoyed meeting and greeting and a polite wave to him garnered him coming over for a hand shake and friendly conversation..
I did a search of the Nova Scotia Film industry website. To answer your question.. No there was never a tenth episode made in Halifax. The confusion may have come from Tom himself. He made it quite public that he wanted another episode but it never happed...at least not here in Halifax. If another one was made elsewhere I can't answer to that. But I guess it's a possibility. The very last one with principal photography in Halifax and nearby towns was "Lost In Paradise" 2015, according to what I found and remember.
But the summer months are approaching. I will keep a keen eye out if in fact I see a lot of movie trailers on our streets..If another one is made, you will be the first to know. Hope this helps Bob.
Just an add on to the Roger Young thread I would like to follow up. Bob you mentioned Rodger not being the Rambo type GI. So correct and important you posted this fact.. Rodger (1918-1943)_was 5'2" and 125 pounds, with severe hearing and vision loss.
Hollywood missed a great story here. Endless heroes the studios churned out extolling the virtues of super human fighters did us NO favours in my opinion. Such is the station of the meek and mild.

Thanks for your response. It is very helpful. The fact that you have not witnessed any production activity is very telling.
Internet posts are conflicting, with fake information, and obvious misrepresentations.
Descriptions of the storyline and cast are also kind of disappointing, if real.
The reason I was so excited was that the person at the "New England Art & Framing" display was adamant that the 10th episode was completed.
He seemed intimately involved in TV, and Movie, representative artwork. Was apparently very familiar with Tom Selleck and the Blue Bloods production. The displays he had were exceptionable.
Will make contact in the future for clarification.
I think he thought I was a nut when I told him I was the real Jesse Stone.
I know how crazy that sounds, but like I said in past posts, the Author Robert Parker came from the town next to mine and my career in law enforcement, (Massachusetts Police Chief like Jesse) while successful, had controversy similar to Jesse with media coverage, and legal action.
The corrupt politicians tried to can me like Jesse.
I had never heard of Jesse Stone but Tractor Supply was selling the DVD's cheap. I got two or three out of curiosity. I was shocked when every episode had Jesse's personal history mimicking mine in many small ways. Same for similar actions taken in police work. Plus Jesse Stone was an accurate representation of real police work. I was hooked.
My family even got me the iconic PPD Chief's ball cap.
If anyone does research on the "Jesse Stone" series, they will find that it still has a great loyal following. Many people report having watched it numerous times to this day and there were "Watch Parties" groups.
I must admit, when world news gets to be too much I have sought relief binge watching the 9 episodes, for escape.
Selleck has said it was his best work, which is why he is committed to the 10th outing.
Beside being Jim Reeves fans, we think along the same lines. It is important acknowledging the courage and stamina of the average person when facing adversity. Goes unnoticed by the Beautiful People.
Remember "The meek shall inherit the Earth and reside upon it forever". Let's keep a good thought.
