I too do not approve of AI generated issues of music supposedly from Jim. However, look up on You Tube "Jim Reeves A Voice". This AI generated item is so scarily alike to Jim's actual voice to be easily mistaken for the real deal. We know, from Larry's book, that Jim wanted to record this song but never got the opportunity to do so. I've been a huge fan since 1957, and can attest that all the nuances of Jim's magnificent voice have been captured in this song. This is more than scary! Geoff Simons

Well Geoff I could not agree more on this AI mess some have created. My post on August 8th. pretty well spells out how I feel. I must say it took a while. First it seemed interesting and something new until I realized what we were actually looking at. At the time all I could wonder is what Jim would of thought. I mean really..a machine as good as Jim's voice. I know he would not approve and little wonder. Some posted adjectives like "creepy' and "Demonic" and of course "Scary"..well I won't argue with that.
Good to see you here on the Forum once again Geoff, we have missed you. Welcome back my friend !

Spot on analysis.
What started out as an exciting novelty has deteriorated into something distasteful.
I for one am over it.
Good to see gaining interest in posting I hope. We need to spread the wealth.
Seems environment is right.

Geoff, I listened to the song and agree with you that the AI generated voice is spot on, but I'm also very uncomfortable with these artificial creations. It's almost like Jim has been replaced by himself, something you could have seen in a "Twilight Zone" episode or something. I admit they are interesting to hear, especially since there are many songs that fans wish Jim had sung, and now we can hear what he would have sounded like singing ANY song. But these songs are not actually Jim singing them. Artists record songs that they believe suit them. If Jim could actually hear these AI creations, he might not approve of some of the material that was chosen for "him" to sing. These decisions should be of the artists' choosing and not decided for them because the actual person is no longer here. Jim could very well be against the entire idea of these AI songs being made to recreate his voice. The beauty of hearing Jim sing the songs we have loved and appreciated for years is because he approved of the material himself and put his actual emotions into each and every one of the songs he chose to record, something very personal that should not be decided for him...

I totally agree with you Mike. Even though it's Jim's voice we know that he's not singing. I can't think of any singer who would approve of his or her voice being artificially generated to produce songs that they hadn't recorded themselves. I'm sure that Jim would not have approved of the instrumental backing as well. A big shout out to my good friend Roy! Geoff Simons

Geoff, I think fans are just longing for new material by Jim, so they may feel these AI recordings are the next best thing. I know the people who make these and also the onesw who like them all have good intentions, but I just don't agree with it. You're right about the backing tracks too. A few are nice, but in my opinion, not up to the standard of an actual Jim Reeves recording. We have a mutual fri4nd in Roy. We've been e-mailing back and forth for over 15 years All around great guy!...
