Jim Reeves Filmography

I was recently checking Jim Reeves Postings on YouTube searching for anything new.

I found a short post "10 Curiosities About Jim Reeves Part 2"

#8 in the post states Jim was involved in 2 films, "Kimberly Jim" and "Country Music Holiday".

I was kind of excited to find the second movie which I was unaware of.

I was unable to find anything about "Country Music Holiday" and wonder if anyone knows if it really exists or is just another false posting.

Jim was not "involved" in the movie "Country Music Holiday". This was mainly a compilation of performances by Jim and other country music stars from an old country show from the 50's. It was released theatrically after Jim died. My mom was a big Jim Reeves fan and took me to see it when it was released. There have been many VHS tapes and DVD's released of these performances. Each DVD had two or three country stars featured on each disc. There is a DVD that features Jim, Ray Price and Ernest Tubb. Not sure if it is still in print, but you probably find a copy on ebay...

There is a "Country Music Holiday" film online.

1958 with some notable stars but no Jim Reeves.

Sorry, Robert. I had the title wrong. The movie with Jim was called "Tennessee Jamboree". Here's the original movie poster. I remember it outside the theatre when we saw it there. I never saw "Country Music Holiday", but I think this was a dramatized movie with these country stars. As you can see from the poster, it also featured Zsa Zsa Gabor. Don't think it had anything to do with the country music footage from the old TV show that made up the movie with Jim...
