I am a Christian. A Bible believer. I believe everyone goes to either Heaven or Hell when they die. I know some artists have professed to be Christians, such as Skeeter Davis, Bill Carlyle, Glen Campbell, Billy Walker, etc.. I have often wondered whether Jim is there. There is some evidence that Jim was a Christian, and some that he wasn't. His behavior did not always reflect it, but then neither does mine. But we don't get to Heaven because of our behavior; but by our faith in Christ as our Savior from our sins. I would be thrilled if I meet Jim in Heaven when I get there. I'm 73 now, so it won't be much longer. I know this might be a controversial post and it isn't my intention to offend anyone, or start an argument. I pray for all of Jim's admirers.

I will not proselytize in this forum, or promote any religion over another, but I encourage everyone to study the Bible and learn what it ACTUALLY teaches.
I believe we are living in what the Bible refers to as the "Last Days", and it is imperative we discern the truth of what is taught, and apply it.
That being said, I would refer to Ecclesiastes Chapter 9 Verse 5 where it says that the dead are dead, not conscious of anything at all.
This comports with what we see in life.
I look forward to the Resurrection, when those who have died, are brought back to life and reunited with their loved ones. Belief in the Resurrection, which is 100% guaranteed scripturally, takes much of the sting out of death.
I believe a resurrected Jim Reeves will have the opportunity to perform songs we know he will do justice to, and the ones we cherish now by lesser artists.
I look forward to living a life deserving of salvation, and that possibility.
