Watch just watching an old black and white B- movie from 1962 starring Beverley Garland called "Stark Fear. At the very beginning, she comes home with a birthday cake and a present for her husband. She takes it out of the bag, and it's Jim's "According To My Heart" album. She puts it on the turntable and they just used instrumental music for the movie...

Good piece of movie history Mike, thank you . Also the picture is very clear. Wonder why the movie executives opted for instrumental and not include Jim's voice on such a wonderful song? Anyone ??

Thanks for the reply, Roy. My guess for not using Jim's music for the movie is-- what else?-- money
It probably would have cost them more...

I remember a posting on this subject some time ago, but did not follow up in depth.

Since I collect Jim Reeves memorabilia, I contemplated getting this DVD for the stash.

I watched the entire refurbished movie on YouTube yesterday. While there are some established actors and yes "actresses" in it the movie is horrible.

I'm going to forgo getting it (approx $11.00 on Amazon) and just note that a JR album is in it.

Surprised that this movie is even on DVD. Was this a well known movie? I pick movies at random sometimes to watch and happened upon this one. In my opinion, I don't think it was a great picture, but it wasn't too bad.I enjoyed it. However, the only thing I'll probably ever remember about it is the scene where Jim's album appears...

I agree.
