It is with great sadness that i inform you my twin brother Colin passed away on the 3rd April after a short illness. Colin contributed many times over the years to the forum and enjoyed keeping up to date with all that went on in the forum. those of you who have a copy of Larry's excellent book "Jim Reeves His Untold Story" if you turn to page NO.658 you will now know the gentleman looking up at Jim's monument is indeed my brother Colin. Wishing all Jim's fans health and happiness. Kenneth

Kenneth- I am very sorry for your loss. I also lost a brother this past October. He also liked Jim's music very much. His favorite song by Jim was "Waltzing On Top Of The World". Whenever I hear this song, I will always think of him. I hope you have many good memories of your brother to cherish as I do...

I would like to reach out to you Kenneth, as well, in the passing of your twin brother and offer my support. Nearly four years ago, my identical twin brother Ray passed away after an illness. I can only say that the bond that I know we both had being twins is unique and so very special. Lasting good memories growing up as children, high school than adults and finally seniors is the strength I look for in these times of loss. Thank you for sharing your story. The picture of Colin on page 658 with the caption "I Won't Forget You" says it all. Once again Jim offering comfort in our hour of need. Always wondered who's picture that was, and now we know.
last Jan. 2023, Colin posted (I believe to be his last) an interesting observation about something printed in a Judy Ford book. Actually, a comment that Jim Reeves died in a plane crash in a field in Alabama.. Well little wonder that garnered a few responses. I left two comments that I hope was informative and correct. Colin left many posts thru the years and his contributions will be sorely missed..
Thank you once again Kenneth for sharing your story with us here on the Forum and God bless.... Thank You ...

Hello Roy, Thank you for your kind words Colin would be pleased to know he will be missed on the forum. I suppose all brothers have a close bond but particularly so twins. Colin and I went through all our schooling from primary to secondary in the same class until we left at 15 years of age. Thanks again Roy all the best from Scotland. Kenneth

I know how you feel, Kenneth. I'm still struggling myself. My brother was someone I could really talk to. We shared a lot of the same interests. He had many interesting stories about when he was growing up in the late 40's and early 50's. He met many movie stars and had some funny stories about the times he met them. He also hung out at a few coffee shops in New York and saw James Dean there quite a lot. He kind of knew him, but only to say hello to. My brother was also at the all-star1961 Country music concert at Carnegie Hall and saw Jim there...
