Just in time for the Christmas buying season. A UNIQUE NEW JIM REEVES CD that includes TWO *NEW* DUETS with Jim singing with PATSY CLINE. You even hear them harmonize together! Plus ALL of the songs are from "voice isolation" tracks around which contemporary new musical arrangements have been built, played by musicians including Grammy Award winners! And there are some "alternate takes" previously never commercially released (such as Jim singing in multi-tracks, which he rarely did). You also get to hear Mr. Reeves singing acapella. Click this link to listen to samples and order the CD:
I received mine today. My favorite cut is "LOSING YOUR LOVE" that Jim sings acappella. First time I've heard him do a whole song without music. Larry might consider doing a whole CD with Jim singing acappella. His voice is so beautiful that he can be enjoyed without music.
I have always loved Gail Talley's "NOT UNTIL THE NEXT TIME". It was on the first JR album I ever owned, DISTANT DRUMS and I've always liked it. I looked her up on the internet under her married name, but I could not find a photo of her as an older woman. She died at age 61 in Nashville. Always thought she was pretty.

Yes, it is very strange that there are no photos of Gail in later life because she was so successful behind the scenes in her TV career. I find it odd there are no pics of her posing with cast members, etc. BTW, when she returned to Nashville she married Jerry Kennedy, a guitarist, whom I interviewed. Of course, he told me very little about his late wife. But I know he was on vacation in east Tennessee when Chet or Jim summoned him to play on some of Jim's songs that were cut in May 1964 (after Reeves stopped boycotting sessions and settled his differences with RCA). Jerry said he was always glad that he interrupted his vacation to return to Nashville to play on Jim's session. I believe it was the first -- and last -- time he did.
