I went through my Voicemaster copies recently and thought again what a great job has been done on the overdubs and remixes etc! I noticed that of the Songs to Warm the Heart album only 'Till The End Of The World' hasn't received the treatment.
This track seems to me to be a really good candidate for a vocal/duet embellishment.
I agree, Martin, a really good song. Of course, there are still many of Jim's songs that have not received the "overdub" treatment yet. The soundtrack to Jim's movie "Kimberley Jim" hasn't had even one song overdubbed yet. There are some really good songs on this album including "Diamonds In The Sand", "Born To Be Lucky" and "A Stranger's Just A Friend". In fact, only a few of these songs have ever appeared on compilation albums through the years. The movie soundtrack was one of the last albums released during Jim's lifetime, and to this day has never been issued in true stereo either...
There are two songs on the "Kimberley Jim" album, "Could I Be Falling In Love" and "The Search Is Ended", that were added to the LP, but not in the film. On the "Yours Sincerely" album, Jim mentions the movie and a few of the songs he sings in it, and he mentions "Could I Be Falling In Love" as one of them. This could mean that the song was intended for the film, but cut out at the last minute. It could also be that Jim was simply mistaken when he said this. I did read somewhere that the original South African print of the soundtrack LP included a few songs that were not on the American LP, but were songs done by the chorus and not by Jim...
