Just some idle curiosity...Is there any plans of future dvd's featuring Jim's performances? I have both versions of the Jim Reeves Anthology, and have near worn them out, lol. I know there is a lot of material out there, just wondered if any of it would be released the right way.

Actually, there isn't a lot of known video out there that hasn't been released. As I chronicle in my book, Jim often appeared on various local TV shows around the country but most of that was live and no kinescopes or videotapes exist of most of it.
I do, however, remember seeing him sing "Missing Angel" on some show; I could swear to it, and Mary and I discussed it one time and she said she too was pretty sure he had done that, but I could never pin down when that might have been. I know he sang the song on the Opry (but this is as yet unreleased). But I can picture him still, and how he looked.
His appearance on the Lawrence Welk show is the only program that the Welk office says is missing from the film canister, and they were surprised by this when I made inquiries years ago. Lawrence kept copies of all his TV programs over the years, but the one with Jim disappeared. I can guess that one of the aggressive collectors grabbed it.
He was also on the Jimmy Dean show for a week. I am referring not to the 1964 appearance, but a different show that Mr. Dean hosted out of Washington, D.C. A man was said to have kinescopes of the entire week, and I talked to his rep who promised he would make them available for purchase, but that never materialized.
