One of the few country artists from Jim's era who is still with us has been hospitalized. Jimmy Dickens is reported to be in critical condition in a Nashville hospital. News reports this morning indicate that Jimmy Dickens has passed away as a result of cardiac arrest following a stroke he suffered recently.

Sad news indeed. I saw "Little Jimmy Dickens" on the Opry in 2005 while on a visit to Nashville. The "old ones" are getting less and less!
