I have just been reading the October issue of country music people and it mentions (on page 6) that there is a forthcoming cd of Jim on voicemasters/Mint audio. Any more details ?

Lol. I will be anxiously awaiting word!! I do want to say, Larry, that I can't say enough how much I appreciate what you've done, and continue to do. I feel like a spoiled rotten kid who just cannot get enough of Jim Reeves. In the past 10 years or so, you have done more to put his name and music out there than ANYONE has EVER!! I, for one, deeply appreciate it. Whenever a new release comes out with the VoiceMasters/H&H label, I ask no questions...I just make the purchase. Why? Because in all the years I have kept up with you, Julie and Sara, and the marvelous work you do, I have NEVER ONE TIME been disappointed in the product, the service, and the professionalism I receive every single time!!! Keep up the great work, and please do not let the negativity from the nay-sayers get you down. They will always be around, but more importantly, so will the true fans of this great man, and in far greater numbers!!

Isn't Larry coy?
I will tell you that this European release will be a "Christmas surprise" and contain 34 tracks and much of it is previously UNRELEASED. Things Jim's fans have never heard before. Even the packaging will be different and unusual. So something to look forward to as the holidays approach. -- JULIE

In many ways Larry has done more for Jim Reeves and the fans than even Mary did,and she had of course a financial interest in continuing Jim's music "career" for thirty-five years after his death and keeping his name before the public. No one today is doing more for Jim and the fans than Larry Jordan.Anita L. Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate all the public and private support.
The notion that some people have that I do these CD projects for financial gain is understandable to some extent, because a lot of folks probably assume there is big money to be made in the music business.
But that has NEVER motivated me. EVER. I don't want to go deeply into hock, of course, (and I've done that in the past). But I love discovering new music -- not just by Jim, but by other artists as well -- and trying to improve it with today's technology and update the sound.
I know the people who hate me will laugh this off but it has always been my objective to bring people pleasure. And I know that Jim Reeves is uniquely an artist whose voice makes people feel better in various ways.
Today on Facebook someone posted a video that dates back almost a year. I'm not sure why it turned up today, but it was a poignant reminder of what we should ALL be trying to do: to brighten someone else's day.
Click the link below to see a story which ran on CBS News about a high school football team that wanted to do something special for a young man who had been regarded as a social outcast due to his disability. They embraced him and did something symbolic that touched the lives of people far beyond those who witnessed this kind act. And in the process, it changed their hearts as well.
Don't get me wrong. I am not comparing myself to these fine young people; I'm only pointing out that those who are so fixated on hatefulness and vitriol and always on the attack could learn a few lessons on how much better everyone's life could be -- including their own -- if we all just focused on the positive and quit sniping and belittling one another...
