Dear All fans of Jim Reeves around the world.
Today could be the man with the best voice that ever lived on this planet to have been 91 years old if he had not lost his life along with Dean Manuel in the tragic plane crash July 31, 50 years ago. But he gave us his songs that we all can bind many good memories with. For me, his music has meant a lot throughout my life. It began back in August 1964, when I turned 11 years this year August 3, I had the birthday guests Sunday, August 2nd, and got some money gift, and I had decided that I would buy an LP record, when I did not know what kind of record I was going to buy, I asked my mother on Monday August 3rd which one she thinks I should buy, she immediately said, it would be good to buy a Jim Reeves record. I walked quickly up to the record shop and buy International Jim Reeves and fast home and put one on the phonograph, and completely overwhelmed when I listened to this perfect voice, but when I looked at my mother, I could see she had tears in her the eyes and asked hvadfor she could then tell that she had just heard on the news that yesterday, August 2 had found Jim Reeves and Dean Manuel died in a plane crash outside of Nashville.,since then I have ben a great Fan of Jim Reeves After some years they held a talent show in the city where we lived, I attended withJim Reeves song "Distant Drums" and won the talent show, among the guests was a beautiful young girl named Hanne and I got into conversation with we later became engaged and she has now been my dear wife of 42 years. When we planned the trip to the United States back in 2002, helped Julie and Larry Jordan us to get in touch with Joyce Jackson, and we met her in Nashville, which was immediately a good atmosphere between us and have since visited Joyce many times and she have visited us in Copenhagen a few times, and now we're more like a family than just friends. Through Joyce, we have learned a lot to know and have become very good friends here include Lani Arnold Jim's Niece as we have with Joyce visited her home in Shreveport , and among other things we had the great pleasure that we were very close and good friends with Leo Jackson and had many good times together with before his untimely death. Through Joyce came we to know Arne Benoni from Norway and his sweet wife Britt, and we are now very good and close friends. Arne is one of the best singers alive, and he performs many of'Jim Reeves songs and doing it very well, Arne has done much to Jim Reeves songs are still popular in Europe, and Jim Reeves still known in that part of the world . Arne has made a Cabere Jim Reeves called "the man and his music" Where Arne tells about Jim and singing nogel of Jim's songs, he is just great.
On the Voice Master new release "The Great Jim Reeves" may Arne heard singing a duet with Jim on "I Know One" this eight-CD release is really a pleasure to listen to and to be a must for all Jim Reeves fan would like to take this opportunity to Thank Larry Jordan for his great work over the years to keep Jim Reeves music alive for all of us. We had Arne to come and perform at a Rotary evening in Taastrup, where I was President, here Arne told about the song The Voice and the history behind it, and sang it for us, there was not a dry eye. Arne gave Hanne and me Cd where the voice is on, and when we sit and hear this, popping the many good and wonderful memories with us, and we think both of us have a lot to thank Jim Reeves for many of these good memories have been created for us is to become because of Jim Reeves and his lovely music. Therefore Dear Jim, we send you a Birthday greeting in heaven above, with thanks for the good memories you created for Melissa and me. Is sure to at all now understand why Jim Reeves has meant so much to me and my dear wife, Hanne. May the Good Lord bless you and keep you. With friendly and pleasant greetings Hanne and Mogens Jensen Copenhagen

Yes, on his birthday is a good day to remember Jim. When every Jim Reeves admirer learned of his death, each of us "knew instinctively that both the man and the voice were irreplaceable" as Larry put it in Jim's biography. And how true.
