I received news today that Mike Creasy, who runs a Jim Reeves photo site and is truly a nice man, suffered a stroke. I know this will be sad news to many fans, as it is to me. Our prayers are with Mike and his family.
Here is news from his wife, June, that was dated Friday. No more news since:
Update on Mike---He made progress today....They took him off the ventilator and he is able to breathe on his own. CT Scan this morning showed no new bleeding. Has a long road to recovery but I'm sure he can do it. Still in ICU. Brain still swollen but was told by Dr. could take a few weeks for that to subside. Still not ready for visitors. I want to thank everyone for all the prayers, kind words and support. Big hug to all of you
Those of you who know much about Jim Reeves Enterprises and who worked for Mary after Jim's death may know the name Darla Kent (now known as Darla Dorris).
She is a very sweet lady and I had been in touch with her in recent weeks. I knew she'd undergone some surgery that was fairly routine but I was shocked to learn that she is now in hospice and suffering from what her family describes as "advanced dementia." The latter seems totally incomprehensible. I went back and reviewed messages we'd exchanged and she was absolutely sharp as a tack and always so thoughtful. So something must have gone very awry very quickly. I don't know the whole story yet but this too is very sad news.
So prayers are requested for this fine lady, who helped Mary so much and was rewarded in Mary's will -- which STILL has not seen the recipients receive any of the money she left them.

I certainly am praying for both Mike and Darla. That is very sad news indeed. I didn't know Darla but Mike has become a very dear friend as well as his wife, June.
Yes, I will uphold him in my prayers for God's mighty healing power Larry.

Larry, I will be praying for Darla as well. I would also like to say that it's a crying shame that the recipients in Mary's will still haven't received anything.
