15-year-old takes on Music Row

Hi folks,

I just came across this video by Melody Williamson. She's 15 years old and lives in Nashville, TN. Her disappointment with the state of today's country music led her to write and perform this song. It's called "There's No Country Here."

Another great young talent! She's very cute, has a nice voice and plays guitar very well. She even wrote the song, and I like it a lot. I certainly agree with the lyrics! It's so good to know that there are still young people out there growing up to appreciate and make good music!

If there can be enough young artists recognizing the lack of quality, heartfelt music these days, I'm sure things can take a turn for the better in the not-too-distant future.

As someone who has enjoyed country music all of my life I get accused of being an "old fogey" when I am critical of today's so-called country music. It is nice to find someone young enough to be my grand daughter who feels the same way. Maybe there is hope for country music.

I would go even further and say that I actually I actually like her voice,hope she hits the 'Big-time',and it doesn't 'spoil' her too much!
