I know many of you have bought previous CDs that Larry has produced, such as the "Divine Ms. Cline" which has 20 new overdubs of Patsy Cline masters, "Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney: The New Recordings," and now the latest 8 CD 50th anniversary commemorative set, "The Great Jim Reeves." The one thing all of these releases have in common is that aside from my husband being the producer, our daughter Sara Elizabeth Jordan has also been involved. She has done an outstanding job sequencing the tracks (which takes many hours and is A LOT more difficult than it would seem, as the CDs have to flow well. Music critics have universally praised how well these CDs are presented). It was also Sara's idea to re-issue the 5 CD special "Jim Reeves Show" collection based on Jim's ABN network program (a VoiceMasters exclusive that is still available on the opening page of my site, though in very limited quantities as we had a huge number of orders at Christmastime).
But Sara has taken on a new role with the latest project, the 8 CD set, because she helped her dad research and write the 48-page booklet, "Songs & Recordings," that is included in this very elegant release. I have read the booklet and it's engrossing and will surely make it a lot more fun when you listen to the beautiful new Jim Reeves music. They wrote about every song on the set and tell some very interesting stories about them.
Sara graduated from a prestigious University a year ago, has degrees in American Studies and History, is part of Phi Theta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor societies, her writing appears in three best-selling books currently on Amazon, and she is finishing a novella herself.
Larry is about to embark on a multi-media campaign (some would call it a BLITZ!) to promote the new CD set and his book, including over 200 interviews (that's not a misprint; I said 200) in Europe alone, and others planned stateside over the next several months. He also has been invited to be a guest for 40 minutes on a big Canadian station that programs country music and will take questions from callers. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. A lot of this is being coordinated with the PageTurner Books PR rep, Lisa Brown in conjunction with the re-launch of Larry's fabulous book, "Jim Reeves: His Untold Story." If you have an interview request, email her at: lisalbrown90@yahoo.com
We're all so busy but I thought you might like to see a picture of Larry and Sara that I snapped tonight. Our daughter came home for a visit so it was a special occasion. Father and daughter have been doing a lot of Skyping and emailing in the course of working on these projects together, but we also see her every few weeks.
Those of you who ordered the new 8 CD set will be reading the booklet and enjoying the music very soon as orders are starting to ship this week! -- JULIE
Thanks for the update Julie. Now that's a beautiful photo of Father and Daughter. Can't wait to receive the CD and to read all those wonderful stories.
Good luck to Larry on his promotion campaign. Hope Larry's travels would take him to the Nation's Capital as well.!!
Thanks for the nice photo, Julie! Sara certainly deserves a lot of credit for the excellent work she has contributed to the Jim Reeves releases. It was interesting to read about her and all she has been accomplishing. A very bright young lady, no doubt about that- and very pretty too! It's also good to see Larry looking well these days, after the health problems he's had recently. A very nice photo of them both- thanks for sharing it with us!
I would love for she and larry to be on the Bill Miller Show. 913-397-9651

Thank you for your kind words Mike we appreciate them and we're very proud of our daughter. Incidentally, this is the same young woman that Connie Sanders and others were posting negative things about on the old trash site, alleging she had to transfer out of town to a different school because she got into trouble with boys. Can you imagine how hurtful that was for a child to be reading such garbage about herself on the internet? There are now tough new laws against online stalking and harassment.
(The truth is we open enrolled Sara in a nearby town because there was no local elementary school when she started school and we didn't want her as a young child to have to ride a bus 17 miles one-way out of town to the school they were going to send her to. So we enrolled her in a town a lot closer, with a better school system).
Sara is also the one whom Reeves fanatic Frank Anderson of Knoxville, TN -- a habitual flame thrower and devotee of the old trash site that Arie den Dulk was behind -- said needed to be "rescued" from the Jordan household because Larry and I were supposedly "indoctrinating" her with "the occult."
Mr. Anderson wrote that he worried we were exposing Sara to Tarot cards and Ouija boards, all based on the fact that our glossy regional magazine that we publish had run a book review column and a paragraph mentioned a book by a woman who is hired by Fortune 500 companies to help employees tap into their intuitive abilities. Frank Anderson extrapolated from this that we must be into the black arts. But then, this is the same guy -- a TEACHER TO THIS DAY -- who accused Larry and me of posting on swinger's websites. (As we asked at the time: how would HE know unless he was visiting them?)
Anderson was urging fans on Arie den Dulk's site to view the trash site for "balance" even though both men knew it contained crude sexual slurs on Sara, whom you have now seen a picture of.
Not only was Mr. Anderson writing about our beautiful daughter (who was then a young teen), but even accusing Larry of victimizing his own mother (whom my husband took care of for 9-1/2 years in our home as she suffered from Alzheimer's). He alleged he was trying to pass her off as his lawyer. Crazy talk.
The long history of harassing, cruel and demented posts that have trailed our family for years due to the outright obsession, jealousy and hatred of us by some of these Reeves nuts (I wouldn't call them fans of Jim's), could fill a book.
I simply got the idea to post the picture of Larry and Sara since you will now be reading in the new CD set some of Sara's research in the accompanying booklet.
I will never forget or forgive the slurs that our precious daughter was subjected to by these people, whose words are documented in screen captures and were reviewed by federal law enforcement officers in the course of an investigation that resulted in the trash site being shut down and the posting records seized.
No one should have to go through that simply because they want to write a book about a singing star, should they? -- JULIE
I didn't know Julie was going to post a photo of our daughter and me, so I am going to return the favor. A number of fans have asked to see the Webmistress herself.
Julie is correct that there is nothing to Mr. Anderson's allegations that our family is into the occult. Please disregard the fact that she is shown here casting a spell on one of my relatives when he visited us. :)
I told Julie I was going to post a pic of her on the net just before I snapped the one on the right. You can see how thrilled she was with the idea. (She doesn't like to have her photo taken but as you can see she's a beautiful woman just like Sara!)
Ever since that silly essay of FA years ago it's been a running joke in our family and whenever it gets brought up we play along with it. The fact that we are satan worshippers is irrelevant, right?
(I remember when Mr. Anderson posed the question: how would Jim Reeves fans feel if they knew a biography was being written about him by someone like ME. If I recall correctly, a lot of his attacks were posted on SUNDAYS).
Don't think we sit around obsessing about any of this; it's just a fact of life we've lived with ever since I got the idea to write a book on Jim Reeves years ago and then we became the targets of the crazies...
You're very welcome, Julie. I was well aware of the unspeakable accusations aimed at Sara in the past, and it sickens me to think that these heartless people would attempt to say such awful things about her just to hurt you and Larry for the outrageous and rediculous accusations aimed at the two of you. It's quite clear to me that people like Saunders and Anderson have to make these things up, simply because they have no legitimate complaints against either one of you. Anyone with even a little common sense isn't buying any of their trash, and those that are were never your friends or followers to begin with, so you're not losing anything there. I literally get tears in my eyes when I read about innocent young people being hurt for absolutely no reason, and I felt that way just now reading what you said about the cruel words that were aimed at Sara- even though I knew all about these things before. Your daughter deserves a lot of praise for being the decent young lady that I know she is, and although I don't yet have the new 8-CD set (I'll be ordering it soon!), I know I'll be very impressed with the excellent work she's contributed to it. By the way, that is a VERY nice picture of you, Julie! I can't imagine why you don't like having your picture taken! I got a kick out of the one of you playfully casting a spell on one of Larry's relatives too. But don't be surprised if a few people that we've already mentioned try to take it seriously and try to use it against you! I can see their words now on the other sight, claiming this photo is proof that you are really into the occult! Ha! ha! I wouldn't put it past them, would you?...
Just a thought about the 8 Cd set being issued to celebrate JR's anniversary..........While we are all quite excited about the opportunity to hear the 'new and better versions' of some of JR's music I am particularly interested in reading about the individual songs themselves which Sara has no doubt diligently researched and then collaborated with her Dad to write about. To do this for every song in this set had to be quite a challenge and just may be an industry first for this genre of music, and if it isn't then, it probably is for the JR library. So kudos to Miss Sara on completing this task.I am sure that we will come to appreciate some of these fine recordings even more so because of her hard work on our behalf.
