Whenever I hear this song, it reminds me of my own Dad, who passed away at 92 on the first day of Spring back in 2004. His hair was silver too, so I always think of my dad with the great love I will always have for him. And who could make these lyrics sound more beautiful than Jim, although the Everly Brothers do a wonderful job with this song as well...
