Yes, "The Jim Reeves Way" is a favourite album.
I think it showcases Jim's way very well.

I agree on those 3 songs: "A Nickel Piece of Candy", "Where Do I Go To Throw A Picture Away" & "Somewhere Along the Line".

That's great recordings. That beautiful voice and the beautiful music / Anita Kerr Singers.

Listen to the triangle on "ANPoC" it's so well situated in the mix and suits the song perfectly.

"WDIGtTaPA" is a favourite recording. It can bring me to tears. It's that beautiful. It's so heartfelt the way Jim soothes me with his velvet voice.

"SAtL" is another beauty.
The song flows so well. It's that combination of lower and higher notes from Jim.
And his voice fit so well with Anita Kerr Singers. It was a match made in heaven, as they say.

At the "Somewhere Along the Line" session and the next he recorded many favourites.

On june 4, 1961 he did "What Would You Do?".
I love this second attempt at the song.
The piano playing along with the electric guitar strumming makes it a great recording which I can listen to over and over. And, of course, Jim's voice is exceptional.

He even did a second recording of "Stand at Your Window" on that day.
This is one of his best fast songs.
The inclusion of the harpsichord makes it vene more special.
You'll often find this kind of experimentation with instruments in Jim's recordings.
And, again the Anita Kerrs compliments it beautifully.
