I too like 'The Voice'. As it stands it is
excellent.

I have now listened to all the AI currently available on Jim and find them to be a mixed bag.

A trademark of Jim's later work was that he always carefully chose his material. 'The Voice, in this respect is an exception. I can't help thinking that quite a number of the other AI songs he would never have chosen. They're just not memorable enough. Whilst his accent has been very well produced nevertheless his richness is often missing, and the low soft resonance he stressed on some notes isn't there.

On a few tracks a narrative break has been introduced, they don't sound like Jim at all. No one could narrate as he did.

Am I a perfectionist? Well Jim certainly was, that why he's such a remarkable artist.

It was interesting to listen to the AI but nothing more than that. A good try.
