Thanks Gary, I was thinking too early for Dean yet.

I did a quick internet search and found Dean Joined the Blue Boys in 1959 (no month was mentioned). It also states that at the same time drummer Mil Rogers and bass player James Kirkland joined to form the Blue Boys, along with Leo Jackson officially joining who was just returning from the military.

Not sure when Buddy Killen joined but you may be right instead of James Kirkland. The same report interestingly and of course incorrectly states Jim and Dean died in a plane crash in 1969 ??? Where did this come from. I think I will look back in Larry's book so I can be clear just exactly when James and Buddy joined the Blue Boys. But in the mean time, can anyone help us with this ? Thank you....
