Just to double check. I referenced the Bear book on Jim's recording sessions, and on the June 14h., 1962 (19:00-23:00) ... it lists Anita Kerr as the accordion player. I also did a quick review of her book that I have and there are several references (and two pictures) of her playing the instrument. Mentioned at the age of 14 Anita became a very talented player.
Also interesting to note there was another singer I found to be talented with this instrument. On a Jim Reeves recording session on Nov.13/62, Gordon Stoker is listed as the accordion player for a four song list laid down on that day.
Quite possibly there are more songs that the accordion was used for Jim's recordings. I would really have to spend some time going thru all the information on every session to find this. But it would be a labor of love...stay tuned.. Thanks again Gary and a special thanks to all our friends here on the Forum that contribute..
