I have listened to the 1961 Bill Mack interview with Jim Reeves many times. Very well done and interesting. This week, however I caught something that to me does not make sense. Jim's reply to Bill's question about what he likes to eat. Jim mentions for lunch he likes potato salad, fried chicken and then he says 'raw chicken'. That is the part I'm stuck on ... about the raw chicken. Interesting to note that Bill did not question Jim on this 'raw' statement.

Can anyone tell me if this means something other than what it sounds like. I have never heard of anyone eating raw chicken because of the obvious health risks. This must have another meaning, something I am not aware of.
