Re: Ken Burns Country Music Documentary
I have not watched much of the film since episode 5, so I can't say who was mentioned in the episodes that followed. Its puzzling that Jim Reeves, Eddy Arnold, and Cindy Walker get so little attention when all three are in the Hall of Fame. I can only guess at the motives of the writers. I admit I was hoping for much different than I got. I don't consider this film to be the gold standard on the history of country music. It might not be possible to make a film on country music that would please everyone. This one didn't please me. I won't be watching it again, or recommending it to others. I would love for someone to make a documentary on "The Nashville Sound" era. Start with Four Walls and cover everyone who fits in that era. Singers, songwriters, musicians, producers, etc..
