Re: July 31"
I have SiriusXM satellite radio in my car, so have a multitude of music choices, but I quickly get bored with whatever I am listening to--be it jazz, country, Southern Gospel, show tunes, whatever. So I have one of my Jim Reeves CDs in the player at all times, and all I have to do is hit the icon on my CUE display and Jim starts singing. I never grow tired of listening to him. It is enthralling each time I hear him, especially when I can listen to songs I personally produced new overdubs on. I've been doing this for about 16 years and so I can have a certain detachment and objectivity when listening anew. I think the music has held up over the years and I'm quite proud of the talented musicians, engineers, arrangers, etc. I have worked with to create these new tracks. Jim seems to be garnering new fans from around the world every day, judging from the number of people who ask to join one of the Reeves Facebook pages I manage. And yet a lot of these people have never even heard any of these overdubs, or the totally new songs I've released on Jim over the years. They have missed A LOT.
