Thanks for the kind remarks Doris. As a close friend of Jim and Mary's, you are certainly in a position to evaluate any release that is done on him.

People like you who actually heard Jim when he was alive, as well as audiophiles that can differentiate between the superb sound on this CD and the compressed, degraded, downsampled mp3 crap online that Peter Atkinson is trying to promote, are discerning.

For 18 years I have been able to count on Mr. Atkinson from the UK to rush online and lie about my releases, post reckless speculation about my personal life as fact, and try feverishly in multiple posts across a spectrum of online retailers to dissuade fans from buying the CDs I produce.

Did you know I even have a "mafia hit squad" and threaten fans who write negative reviews? That's according to Mr. Atkinson.

Actually, authorities in the UK and the U.S. (where he has visited) did look into this guy a couple of years ago and fans also sent us info we are holding onto. He filled 88 pages cumulatively on one site with bile, even attacking me for not attending Mary Reeves' reburial in Carthage (when members of her own family didn't attend and I live 900 miles away!) That sort of irrational obsession connotes a very troubled individual and one always has to be cautious about online stalkers.

But let's not forget Arie den Dulk, who apparently is spending his retirement the same way he has spent the last couple of decades...trying his best to insinuate himself where he doesn't belong. According to David Ray (who used to be a harsh critic of mine but has since become a friend), Mr. Den Dulk even tried to convince David to change his review of one of my non-Reeves CDs from 5 stars to 1. David "outed" Arie online and I only recently discovered that. What possible motive could Mr. Den Dulk have for such actions than unbridled malice and jealousy?

What a bunch of goons.

The fact remains, "Jim Reeves: The Lost Recordings" is truly historic, and one of the most priceless releases ever put out on Jim, presenting him at his best in 32 previously UNreleased performances...another world premier.
