Why am i not surprised, Jim has never been given the recognition that he deserves. It could be that Jim has been percieved as being somewhat out of date by the powers that be in todays media, certainly you would hard pushed to hear even one song of jims on the radio here in the UK and i suspect the same would hold true for the Radio and TV in the US. Perhaps the apparent apathy of some members of he Reeves family have not helped but the same cannot be said of Larry. In my humble opinion larry appears to just about the only one who has done the most to try and preserve the legacy of Jim Reeves and all credit to him for that. I daresay that Jim is not the only one who has been ignored or overlooked by the record companies over the years since their passing.Therein lies the challenge i suppose how does one keep the profile of one of the finest voices that God ever gave to a human being still relevant today,a good song should stand the test of time and jim recorded quite a few of those and that's why Larrys efforts to update some of Jims material is so important.
