Link: MUSICIAN DAVID JOHNSON
For example, he did the arrangement on our remake of Jim Reeves' "Gypsy Feet." David helped me rescue the previously unreleased song, "How Many Tears From Now." He played on "There's Someone Who Loves You," "Read This Letter," and "Deep Dark Water", among others. On the newly released "Jim Reeves: The New Gospel Recordings" CD, Mr. Johnson can be heard on "Precious Memories."
He's also done work for me on other releases such as "The Divine Ms. Cline" CD of overdubs I did on Patsy Cline.
He's a true mountain man, with a rustic cabin studio up in the mountains of North Carolina, where he is adept at playing virtually any stringed instrument that we need, plus doing arrangements. He also travels a lot to perform in various studios. David has many friends in the Southern Gospel and country music industry and is much sought-after, having played on MAJOR artists' recordings.
Anyway, David is hurting right now...literally...both physically and financially.
Some of his friends have put together a YouTube video that talks about David Johnson's plight. I hope you will take a moment to view this video and if you are in a position to do so, to make a contribution, however small.
