His statue 'looks out' to the highway that he travelled down many times in his younger days and I feel that even though he had plans to buy a ranch elsewhere in his later life, his thoughts will always have drifted back to Panola Country as he was a good ole Texas boy.
I would have liked to seen a second memorial statue erected in Nashville, as you are right Larry, he will be remembered more there. But as for his burial, he is now truly home. Even though the Ritter family may disagree with that.
