On another note, Frank Anderson once posted on Mr. Den Dulk's site an attack on my husband for releasing "sub-standard music which Jim would have never wanted to be released. No true fan of Jim Reeves would want to harm his legacy…" I don't think anyone who has heard any of the VoiceMasters CDs would agree with Mr. Anderson's absurd assessment of them. (Judge for yourself by clicking the link and listening to the samples of the new 8 CD set, "The Great Jim Reeves" below).
I know that Larry has taken great care to honor Jim's recorded legacy, even with this latest project, by only choosing THE BEST material to overdub. And I know he has in his possession recordings by Jim that he has withheld because they reflect poorly on Jim's singing talents. I wonder if Mr. Anderson will be posting similar condemnation of the release of the very bad Abbott material that his friends Den Dulk and Bussey are involved with, that Jim didn't want to see released? -- JULIE
