My parents are coming to stay with me overseas for almost five months, which is much longer than their usual holiday visits. They’re both retired and generally healthy, but I’m more concerned about an unexpected problem than anything routine. Their existing arrangements are mainly designed around life back home and I’m not sure how well they translate to a long stay elsewhere. We also plan to take a few side trips to neighboring countries during their visit. What do families usually consider when arranging healthcare protection for relatives staying abroad for several months?
