A low-speed parking lot mishap left a nasty three-inch tear in my rear bumper, and I am trying to decide if it is worth fixing. I am worried that the crack will just reappear if the shop uses a cheap plastic welder or too much body filler. Does anyone have experience with structural adhesive repairs that remain flexible enough to handle the daily vibrations of driving? I want a repair that is invisible to the eye and doesn't compromise the safety sensors hidden behind the plastic. Replacing the whole unit seems like overkill if the surrounding material is still in good shape
