The other day I was watching a CS2 stream and the streamer started talking about one of the skins he was using, saying it was part of a collection with a certain theme behind it. That caught my attention because I’ve been playing the game for years and mostly just treat skins as cosmetics that look cool. I never really thought about them having any kind of story or background. After that stream I started wondering if there’s actually somewhere people explain the lore or inspiration behind the more popular weapon skins. Some of them clearly look like they belong to a specific idea or style, so I’m guessing there must be some explanation out there.
