Trying to decide on a place for a first in-person meeting can unexpectedly turn into the hardest part. Recently, after chatting with someone online for a while, we finally agreed to meet, and I caught myself hesitating when it came to suggesting a spot. I wanted something calm but not boring, public but not crowded. Past experiences taught me that the wrong environment can make even a good conversation feel forced. That’s why I started wondering how other people approach this choice and whether they rely more on instinct or past lessons when picking a location that feels right.
