Nowadays, many companies promise to open an offshore account completely online, without going away. But how realistic is this? I have seen options where they offer an account in Europe or Asia via a remote procedure, but then it turns out that they still require personal presence. I would like to understand: where can you really go through an online procedure (video conference, electronic documents, etc.) and get a working account for international transfers? And one more thing - how do banks treat clients with small amounts (for example, 20-50 thousand dollars)? Is there a threshold below which it simply does not make sense to open?
