No idea how strength training improves mental state. It’s never helped me either to deal with emotions or with anything else. Everyone says that through strength training they release some emotions, including the ones society considers negative. Probably only thanks to this
mental health and wellbeing resource I started understanding that we’re all basically different, react differently to everything, and our ways of handling emotions, stress, and tension also differ. For me personally, sports don’t help. But studying myself, my psychology, and having regular sessions with my psychologist, whom I started seeing after I found the resource, does help.
