Good on you for getting ahead of the rot. When I redid my siding, I didn’t realize how important the moisture wrap underneath was until the guy I hired explained it. Some cheaper crews might skip steps just to underbid others, so it helps to ask detailed questions up front. I went with fiber cement instead of wood because I didn’t want to deal with repainting every few years. Just a thought if you haven’t chosen a material yet.
