I bought injection molding ejector pins (as referenced in the build instructions). Frankly, didn't use them. I ended up making my own. I bought 1/16" and 1/8" drill rod. Center drilled & drilled a 1/16" hole in the 1/8" stock. Set the 1/16" length in the 1/8" stock while chucked in the lathe. Held the 1/16" stock while I parted the 1/8" stock off 1/8" long. Then resistance welded the two pieces together on my spot welder. Set the pins on an anvil and flame hardened just the end of the 1/16" rod (air hardening steel). You don't need to harden the complete firing pin, just the ends that are doing the work.
