I can see where s piece with lots of mass would make a big heat sink, i've considered using resistance soldering like i've done on smaller stuff. Also the silver solder paste seems to work quite well and very strong. Resistance soldering is great because all heat is concentrated in one spot, simular to spot welding. Don't know what you are working on, but think it would probably take a hefty power supply to generate the heat between the two parts. Just a thought.
