Re: Eucalyptus grandis (four year in ground anniversary)
I bought my first two bismarckia palms in the spring of 2001. Both were about a five gallon size. My tallest one is probably around 25 feet overall. The other one I bought at the same time is smaller as it was partially blown over by a hurricane and I had to upright it and stake it. It got set back due to trauma. I have nine bismarckia palms total. All are of the silver form, but I have four green form in pots in my greenhouse, but it will probably be a couple of years before they are of size to be planted in the ground. I think I recall you telling me about Eucalyptus robusta some years back. I think I posted some photos of local trees. If so, I do recall the trunk texture and color was interesting and pleasing. If I ever run across one I would buy it and plant it. Right now I'm planting new species of ficus trees, plus I'm trying to germinate some more species.
