can only guess that your plants may be "bleeding" sap from the actions of either aphids or scale insects---look under the leaves for the white shells of the scale insects and look on new growth for aphids---insectidal soap may work for control of both but read the label. the other alternative may be if you have recently cut off braches or stems that the cut edges may also be oozing sap from the cut. have never had any problems such as you describe but we do not have the kind of summer weather you have. also if you have the plants indoors take them outside to a sheltered partly shaded area with good air circulation. i assume that you have indoor/outdoor container plants as probably no eucs can survive as year around in the ground outdoor plants there except maybe as dieback perennials that may (or may not) live over from year to year resprouting from the base. hope this is of some help.
