just guessing but approximately -5 to -7c for most of them. based on plants growing in the ground and properly "hardened off" through gradual exposusre to cool temperatures in the fall and with water withheld so the plants gradually go dormant and cease active growth. plants growing in containers will be less hardy and sustain damage at higher temps. the western australian plants mainly come from areas with warm dry summers and mild wet winters---plants growing outside in the ground or in containers in japan may have to contend with significantly different conditions. western australian species are difficult to cultivate in temperate areas which is one of the reasons why eucs from eastern australia (a region more likely to have summer rainfall and lower winter temps) are more commonly seen and experimented with.
